We've all heard about the release of the new portable gaming console from Sony, the PS Vita. The successor to the "popular" PSP. Released on the 22nd of February in Europe it failed to capture the spotlight in the tech/gaming community.
It's library of games is growing and there are quite a few good games such as Uncharted. Yet no one seems to take notice of it. Could it be that the era of dedicated handheld gaming consoles such as the Nintendo Ds and the PSP is over. We now have smaller devices such as the iPod touch and most of today's smart phones which are capable of handling "intensive" graphics which are more on the go type and easy going. Could the PS Vita be for the hardcore gamer who needs the physical buttons?!
In my opinion Sony tried to fit the PSP into the "modern" market by adding a touch screen and some other nifty features. Graphics gave been improved but its demand and popularity still have to be tested.
Stay tuned for more info to be released on the PS Vita.
